The fair of Milan represents one of the major fair poles, nationally or internationally.  It hosts manifestations of great importance, to name a few:  Il Macef, il Bit, il Salone del Mobile, Milanovendomoda, lo Smau, la Mostra Convegno ed il Micam Mipel.   The fair season revolves itself for nearly the entire year and is fundamental for the economy as it moves a large number of people in the city, hotels of Milan and in the zones around the city.  A new fair pole named Rho Pero was created and inaugurated in April 2005 to improve the qualitiy of the services.  This new fair was generated to favor the realization of more manifestations and to render more easy the movement of the items and people.  The structure contains an area of two millions meters square with a area covered by pavement of 530.000 meters square.  Thanks to this creation the existing offers for hotels in Milan are being amplified along with the openings of new hotels near the new fair.  The actual area of this fair will be named “Fiera Milano City” and will host the so called little manifestations and the ones which need to be in the city such as the fashion fair.  The city congresses will still be maintained.
