santa maria delle grazie cenacolo da vinci milano

The Cenacolo Vinciano was realizzed by Leonardo da Vinci at the end of ‘400 and is placed in the back of the Santa Maria delle Grazie church.
The church and the convent of Santa maria delle Grazia together with the last supper by Leonardo da Vinci have been enrolled in 1980 in the list of the patrimony of the unesco.  The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie was realized by Bramante and is a major testimony of the period humanistic and renascence of Milan.
One of the most famous frescos ‘The Cenacolo Vinciano’ is one that shows the most the cultural and artistic renewal that was done by Ludovic Il Moro. Leonardo took over four years to realize this work and used a strong technique.
The painted episode represents the phase in which Christ announces that he will soon be betrayed by one of his apostils.
The Cenacolo was a theme which was frequently represented by artists of that time, though the last supper by Leonardo brought a totally different form due to the way the scene is set and for the realism with which the author retells the episode of the evangelic.
To visit the Cenacolo it is obligatory to make reservations.
For whom sleeps in hotels in Milan distant from Santa Maria delle grazia, can reach this destination by Metropolitan {exit Cadorna or Conciliazione} or can go by tram.
